IDC released a report on the Chinese tablet computer market in Q3 2024: Q3 shipments were 7.68 million units, a year-on-year increase of 9.3%, and maintained positive growth in shipments for three consecutive quarters, of which the consumer market grew by 9.6% year-on-year, consumer demand gradually recovered, and commercial market shipments increased by 6.3% year-on-year.

Overall, Huawei tablets performed well in the third quarter, and shipments maintained rapid growth. Huawei launched a number of new products this quarter, among which the new MatePad Pro and MatePad Air performed well in the mid-to-high price range, while the MatePad SE 11 is mainly aimed at the 1,000-yuan market. Apple's educational promotions have increased the sales of iPad Air and iPad Pro to a certain extent, but in the face of fierce competition among domestic tablets and high prices of products, Apple's tablet shipments continue to decline. The shipment of Xiaomi tablets is relatively stable.
