IDC has released the report on the Chinese tablet computer market for Q3 2024: The Q3 shipment volume was 7.68 million units, with a year-on-year growth of 9.3%. It maintained positive shipment growth for three consecutive quarters. Among them, the consumer market saw a year-on-year growth of 9.6%, and consumer demand gradually recovered. The shipment volume in the commercial market increased by 6.3% year-on-year. Overall, Huawei's tablet performance in the third quarter was outstanding, maintaining rapid growth in shipment volume. This quarter, Huawei launched several new products, among which the new MatePad Pro and MatePad Air performed well in the mid-to-high price range, while MatePad SE 11 mainly targeted the thousand-yuan market. Apple's educational discount activities led to a certain increase in sales of iPad Air and iPad Pro, but due to fierce competition from domestic tablets and the high price of products, Apple's tablet shipment volume continued to decline.
